Introduction-Video:
Hi, I'm Mike and I created the "3D Model Organizer Modules".
I was very frustrated to see that there is no viable solution to organize your 3d models on your
own computer. Either you have icons where you sometimes see only the back of a model
or you just have to pack them into folders and hope to find the currently needed ones
again.
I wanted a simple library with tags and nice 360° renders that show me the model.
And that is what i built and what I offer you for free.
Yes, I couldn't resist in naming it '3D MOM' because it helps you tidy up and you can ask it
where your stuff is.
Right now, it consists of 2 modules,
the main module for tagging & rendering
and the model browser where you can search and browse your models.
Join our discord server or our facebook group!
For creators who want to distribute the renders&tags of their own models,
so their subscribers can import them with one click, I created a patreon page where they can join me.
By joining you'll receive the functionality of exporting,
your own customary style and the ability to add backgrounds and logos.
You can find the differences between the free and the creator version if you click on the 'For Creators' tab
The app is currently in BETA.
This model got sponsored by Dungeon Dog Miniatures.
It is prohibited for
you to sell or distribute this model in any way. It is for personal use only. Please visit his
patreon page for more cool models or buy them from his MyMiniFactory page.

Here is an example of the model browser:

The model browser was the initial goal for this app. A tool to easily find models you want to print.
It offers a fully customizable tagging system for better navigation. You also can decide for yourself if you want static images or rotating videos to explore your collection.
After selecting a model, you are only one button away to access your supported/unsupported stl-files on your computer. You can also edit the tags for the current model.

With blender anyone can do a simple render. But it is tedious for multiple models.
Since rendering takes some time, the model organizer lets you fill a queue of models which it
will work off in succession.
The app has the capabilities to load models and automatically centers them without cutting off
pieces,
rotates/animates them for the 360° videos
and lets you switch between render styles easily.
I've implemented several useful render styles in blender and some are also more creative (like the ones displayed). Occasionally I will offer exclusive styles as promo-codes.
I will add the possibility to create tokens for VTTs in the near future. Planned are top-down tokens (similar to the isometric images) or to let the user take a profile shot in a render and put a border frame around it.
There is a feature to export your models as images in an isometric perspective for VTT environments which allow isometric gaming like FoundryVTT or Roll20 You receive 8 images where the model faces the isometric typical directions and you can decide if you want to include shadows or not.
Some of you might be interested in a one-click paper-cutout version of the models. Because either you have no printer, it is broken or if you just hadn't enough time to 3d-print and paint all necessary miniatures for your next D&D session. You only need to add the model to your 3D-Model Organizer, click a button, print the image, cut it out and glue it together.
It is possible to enable the model browser as a website on your local network, so that mobile phones connected to your WLAN can open the model browser on their webbrowser.
You can give your players a QR-code which navigates them directly to a specific model, so they may get a glimpse of the monster they are encountering.
There is also a complete Android/IOS - app in the planning.
An import/export manager is integrated, which results in only a handful of clicks for a user to download a new monthly set (renders/tags) of a creator. Only creators with a creator subscription can export their models to ensure that nobody exploits the system for filesharing. My server will only provide the possibility to download renders and tags, but offers the possibility to log into MyMiniFactory for directly downloading purchased files.
I haven't tested it on many machines so I really can't say what the minimum
requirements for your computers are, but the more decent your graphics card the better. All
software that is required, will also be referred to in the install wizard.
Other requirements are:
Operating System: Windows 10
Software Requirements: min. Blender 3.4 installed, (3.3 is not working properly, 3.4 tested ok)
Webview2 Runtime-Environment installed
Direct-X Runtime-Environment installed (usually already installed)
Supported file formats: .stl, .obj
